Canonbie Youth Group and Sunday School spent this weekend up at Whittaugh Park at Newcastleton, at Spree in the Borders 2016. They had a great time doing lots of activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, archery, swimming, high ropes and low ropes, mountain biking, zipping down the zip wire, and generally having great fun. They also learnt more about God, and what He can do in their lives, and what they should be doing to follow Him.
Here are just a few photos to show what the weekend was all about:
The sun shone!
Archery – Jessica hit the bull’s eye …
Jessica and Lydia belaying (holding on to the rope?) whilst Kara shimmies on up the wall
there she is, along with Murdo
the midges were horrendous
and it’s cold, having jumped into the lake
more water here, but as part of a challenge game in the 8-11 year old’s group
and they all survived, had fun, and enjoyed each other’s company!
