Today we had another great morning, with skipping races,
making and using balloon swords (here’s Jamaica looking very fierce!)
and the next installment of the drama.
And finally, the MEDAL TABLE!!

A fantastic morning was had by all at the Fit For A King holiday club in Canonbie Church. Here is Sarah explaining the rules of Welly Tossing (like tossing the caber but with wellies!) to the assembled teams.
and here are the children having a go. Can you spot the welly?
We had lots of singing, lots of games including relay races and the potato and spoon. Story telling, a quiz, Scottish dancing and crafts too.
The activities continue all week, 10am to 12.30pm, all primary age children are welcome!

This morning, Bill gave a message on preparing for the winter. Strange, maybe, as we are in the height of summer and the weather has been fantastic! Or maybe not? This is the time that we do all those little jobs that need to be done before it gets cold and wet, in the garden and the house, and he compared this to our preparations in our spiritual lives. It was a thought provoking sermon, and well worth a read. Please click on the following link for the full sermon 6th after Trinity 27-07-14 Summertime

It’s nearly here! in just over a week’s time Canonbie Church will be holding the “Fit for a King” holiday club for primary school aged children.
There will be other events during the week, a cream tea on Wednesday afternoon, Sports themed Quiz Night on Friday, and Family Service followed by a BBQ in the park on Sunday. All are welcome!
