Our sincere and heartfelt thanks go to Andrew Morton for all his hard work during our vacancy. He conducted his last service as our Interim Moderator this morning at Canonbie Church, all about the persistent small voice of God in our ears. Well worth a read. It’s available now, The Constant Voice

Please remember that it is the induction of our new minister, William Jackson, on Tuesday at 7pm in Newcastleton Parish Church.

The Monday evening Fellowship/Bible Study Group have started reading the book by John Ortberg, “If you want to walk on water, you’ve got to get out of the boat”. This is a description of the book taken from Christianbook.com: Far too many of us have put our faith in a casual Christianity that never compels us to leave our comfort zones. But, deep within our hearts we know that Christ has not called us to comfort, but to an exciting, sacrificial and overwhelmingly fulfilling faith. In If You’re Going to Walk on Water John Ortberg teaches us how to step out of the “boat” of casual Christianity so that we can faithfully follow the Lord who is calling us out onto the risky, exciting waters of the high seas. Let Pastor Ortberg teach you how to leave your comfort zone for a remarkable life of faith.

Come along and see what you think! Monday evening, 7.30pm, Mozie Law, Canonbie.

Anthony is compiling the next edition of the Canonbie Chronicles over the next week.

Please give a few moments thought to articles, news and notices that need to be included and let him know as soon as possible. Send your thoughts to antolane@hotmail.com

Plant Sale

Thank you to everyone who supported last Saturday’s plant sale and coffee morning, either by baking or supplying plants, or by coming along and buying plants. The fantastic amount of £454 was raised.
